Broadview has had a successful men’s State League team lead by club coach Martin Richards since 1992 - the longest serving team in the competition.
At Broadview, we currently offer two forms of social tennis - Monday night tennis and Tuesday night doubles.
Monday night’s Social competition uses the new and exciting Fast Four format, where participants play a mix of doubles and singles against a range of people. The rule changes include no lets on serve, sudden death deuce, sets are first to 4 games with tiebreakers at 3 games all, and the introduction of a power play. This competition is run by club coach Martin Richards so please contact him for further details.
The Tuesday night doubles competition is a team competition where teams of 2 men and 2 ladies (4 in total) compete throughout a season. The games are all first to 6 games with no tiebreakers. On a competition night each player will take part in 3 doubles matches so that they play with each of their team mates. Matches start at 7pm, and continue until all players are finished. For further information or how to get involved please contact Evelyn Richards using the "Send Us An Email" button below.
Sometimes, we need to move our teams to one of our alternate locations in order to accommodate all of our great players, each week. If you find yourself scheduled to play at one of these locations, but don't know where to go, you've come to the right place!
